Crowdrun is a pre-launch website. Right now it does one thing with your data: if you give us your email address, we keep it so we can tell you when the first runs open. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, where it lives, and how to make us delete it.
Who we are
Crowdrun is operated by [legal entity name], [registered address]. For anything to do with your data, email [privacy@crowdrun.ai].
What we collect
What you give us
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
- Which side you’re on — whether you told us you are building something or want to back builders.
What is collected automatically
- Country, derived from your connection by Cloudflare at the moment you sign up and stored with your email. Not your precise location.
- The page you came from (the referrer), if your browser sends one.
- Your IP address, held by our sign-up service for up to ten minutes purely to limit abuse, then discarded. It is not stored with your email.
- Aggregate site statistics via Plausible Analytics — page views, referrers, country, device type. Plausible sets no cookies and does not identify individuals. We see counts, not people.
We set no cookies. We do not use advertising trackers. We do not collect payment details — there is nothing to pay for yet.
Why we collect it
- To email you when the first runs open, and about Crowdrun before then. Builders and backers may receive different messages.
- To understand roughly who is interested and where they are, so we launch in the right order.
- To keep the sign-up form from being abused.
We will not sell your email address or share it with advertisers. We will not add you to anyone else’s list.
Where it lives
Your sign-up is stored in Cloudflare Workers KV, Cloudflare’s hosted key-value store, and the website itself is served by Cloudflare. Site statistics are processed by Plausible Analytics. Both act as processors on our behalf and may store data outside your country.
How long we keep it
Until the first runs have launched and our launch communications are done, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If Crowdrun never launches, we will delete the list.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email [privacy@crowdrun.ai] from the address you signed up with and we will do it within 30 days. Every email we send will also have a one-click unsubscribe.
If you are in the UK or the EU, you have these rights under data-protection law and may also complain to your local supervisory authority. Our lawful basis for holding your email is your consent, given when you submitted it; for the abuse-prevention and statistics processing it is our legitimate interest in running a working website.
Children
Crowdrun is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think we have, email us and we will remove it.
Changes
When the platform launches this policy will be replaced by one that covers accounts, pledges and usage data. We will change the date at the top and, for anything material, email the list.
